About Us

Family owned for over fifty years, Manzanita Acres is gently tucked between the Feather River and the Sutter Butte Mountains in northern California.  A farming community known primarily for it's vast peach orchards, sprawling rice fields and specialty kiwi's, the small town of Gridley hosts many growers but perhaps none so perfectly as those at Manzanita Acres.

The year long harvesting of organic fruits and vegetables, also grown at Manzanita Acres,  only compliments and contributes to the red worm division of this organization. Our redworms are nestled among numerous plantings such as elephant garlic, onions, freestone peaches, nectarines, cherries, plums and in the summer months tomatoes, melons, ornamental corn, gourds, and pumpkins.  Our worms are fed with the highest grade of dairy manure trucked in from local farms.  Unlike redworm brokers, we do not sell any worms that we have not grown and harvested from our own farm due to the fact that there is no way to track what they've been fed and if they are truly healthy worms.  If you have any questions regarding Manzanita Acres please do not hesitate to click on the "Contact Us" button to the left of the screen for all of our contact information.
